During the year, the club participates in a number of events outside of our weekly cruise nights. These events incude social events, garage tours, visits to auto-related venues and viewing private collections of collector and special interest cars.

2010 FCC PICNIC

Many thanks to Ray and Pam Garittano for hosting the event at their "last straw farm!"

Seating for many both on ground level and upstairs in the Loft.

Jim Jackson (Smokin' Jim's) provided an excellent meal for our FCC Members.

Although it looks vintage outside, the 'barn' was dry and comfortable inside!

Our April '10 garage tour at Dennis & Bonnie Heywoods was a big hit.

There were 50 members and friends in attendance. It was sunny but a little cool that day but it didnt stop us from having a great time. Dennis had his cars displayed on his lawn and some in the hanger. He had a wonderful collection of early Fords, Chevys, a Cord ( a work in progress) his 1908 REO,and a rare 37 British Standard Flying 20 V-8 with a sun roof to name a few. I would like to thank Dennis and his wife Bonnie for their hospitality. This marks the end of our garage tour season until the fall. See you on cruise nights.

A note to those members who haven't attended the meetings or garage tours, you're missing out on meeting great people, learning something new from our guest speakers and seeing wonderful collection of cars.

Our March tour took us only a short distance from downtown Frankfort to new member Don Urbanciz’s garage. While the weather forecast had called for rain and snow earlier in the week, we were pleased to find cool but dry skies on the actual tour day. Don had 12 cars inside his garage and 3 that he moved outside to give us room to set up a lunch table. Don’s taste tends to run from mainstream to somewhat unusual, but not focused on any certain make. Mainstream? There was the 67 Vette roadster, 64 ½ Mustang, AAR Cuda, and the 64 GTO. Unusual? An AMX, 65 Wildcat, Volvo 1800ES, MGB-GT, and 65 Corvair. Only about half the collection was on display, the other half mostly housed at his winter home in AZ.

A good turnout of members were on hand to enjoy Don’s hospitality and collection.
